Our Shop

The Green Plant was first launched through Etsy in November of 2019. Our goal is to bring our love of plants to your home and continually learn with everyone about the vast genus of Hoya. As avid Hoya lovers, our shop has transitioned to focusing on Hoyas for all the Hoya heads out there!

We are a licensed and certified nursery with the State of Arizona. 

Pest Management

We avoid using pesticides or other harmful chemicals to manage pests in our greenhouse. Our plants are routinely treated and hand inspected prior to shipping as well. As part of our prevention routine, we do also release predatory bugs (the good guys) regularly. We release a mix of predatory mites, lacewing larvae and nematodes, therefore, spotting these bugs on your plants from us should not cause alarm. As a general rule of thumb remember, slow is foe and fast is friend!

Fertilizer

All of our plants are watered with a liquid fertilizer on a weekly basis as well as provided with a foliar spray of nutrients. Please note our growing media does not contain a fertilizer, therefore, supplementation of nutrients is required. 

Packaging

We take great pride in making sure you receive your plant healthy and happy from us! Understanding packaging plays an integral role to this, we have perfected our packing to ensure no leaf damage and very minimal soil leakage. Our customers, time after time, rave about the time and care we take to package our plants!
